Does anybody know of a process control system that integrates electrical regulation, DRI feed rate (emphasis on this, to use scrap + up to 100% DRI charge mix) , Oxygen/Carbon injection system, off-gas analysis? When do you drop 2nd charge?
For those with multiple charge buckets, what is a typical KWH/scrap ton that you drop your second charge? Who/what determines that timing? Do you have a maximum KWH or KWH/ton to avoid over-melting and potentially damaging bottom?
How does everyone clean up dust on the furnace deck?
Does anyone have a good effective alternative to an air wand? Sweeper, vacuum, broom, etc? Thanks!
furnace brick retainers
Good Afternoon , I was questioned today if we could put some kind of retainer just above the furnace wall brick to hold it from being able to push up . I have never heard of this before . is this something that some people are doing ? thanks Sean

This is for 100% recycled scrap shops. How much yield to you see from your different scrap recipes?
How much loss of anthracite is assumed?
This would be moisture loss or loss of fines.
