Is anyone using cameras (standard visual or FLIR) to identify ladle identification numbers at different locations in their shops for time stamps and location tracking?

Just wondering if anyone can share what parting agent they use on slag pots? How often is the pot sprayed with the parting agent?

Test weight to verify tap/ladle scales
We purchased a ladle shell and had a refractory shotcrete material sprayed on the bottom and sidewall. The plan is to fill it up with steel and let solidify. Has anyone done this before, and if so did you put any kind of chill scrap in the bottom ? ideas/thoughts/concerns
